Explanation:Polytek TinSil® 70 Silicone RTV Mold Rubber: A Poly 15-6 plastic column capital is demolded from a TinSil® 70-10 silicone rubber mold. This rubber is very soft (Shore Al0) and stretchy eliminating the need for seams in the mold to remove cast parts. The shell was made using Poly LiteCast, a very low density, pourable polyurethane plastic to reduce the weight of the shell for easier handling. The column posthole was made by inserting a plastic pipe as a plug in the 70-10 mold prior to casting.

Explanation:Polytek PlatSil Series Silicone Mold Materials: PlatSil® 71-20 our most popular silicone. Easy 1:1 by volume mix ratio. A poured blanket mold was made using PlatSil® 71-20 Liquid Silicone Rubber, a unique, 1:1 mix, 4-hour-cure system, which can be used to cast any medium. This gargoyle could now be cast in plaster, concrete or any pourable plastic using this PlatSil® mold. This blanket mold was poured in a single piece, then cut, using a mold key knife, up both sides to create a mold which opens like a book.
